Bombay HC endorses Goa govt's decision to bar Goans from entering casinos Fri, Oct 15 2021 03:35:16 PM Panaji, Oct 15 (IANS): Barring local residents from entering casinos by the Goa government is "well-founded" and not violative of Article 14 of the Indian Constitution, the Bombay High Court bench in Goa has said.
In a move that could bolster the struggling tourism sector of Goa, the government has agreed to allow casinos in the state to reopen. According to the state government, casinos will be allowed to operate from Monday. But they will adhere to strict COVID-19 protocols, and operate with 50% capacity.
